Changunarayan Temple

The Changunarayan temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu who is also referred by name, he Narayan. The Changu Narayan temple or Changunarayan Temple is one of religious monuments in Nepal. Being predominantly a Hindu country, the population is extremely religious. There are many temples devoted to Nepal to the many gods and goddess of the Hindu religion. All towns and villages in Nepal have many temples are proof that religious feelings of the population. The Changunarayan temple is famous throughout Nepal; and has hordes of followers all across the country. The Changunarayan temple was built many years ago and it tells the art, culture, history and evolution both of Nepal. The temple is supposed to be built in the 3rd century.

The Changunarayan temple was built by natural materials such as metal, stone and wood of the valley. The Changunarayan Temple talks about Mandev king who was the ruler of Nepal in the 5th century. A stone inscription inside the temple records Mandev King’s rule. Lord Vishnu who is also Narayan is the rescuer of Hindus, as is

believed. The Changunarayan Temple has many pictures of Vishnu in its various forms. The Changunarayan Temple was ten incarnations of Vishnu that records Hindus by destroying all the forces of evil. All idols of Vishnu were made several centuries ago and are of great architectural value.

The Changunarayan Vishnu Temple in different postures is an added attraction for most tourists and amateurs. The Changunarayan Temple is only 24 km from the city of Kathmandu.
